Being able to checkmate in chess is one of the skills many people tend to take for granted. They focus on learning how to play chess, how to move the chess pieces correctly, how to castle and en passant, and even learn the 2 move checkmate, 3 move checkmate, 4 move checkmate, and 5 move checkmate. 

 

However, what a lot of people forget to learn is how to actually place their opponent’s King in checkmate in much more “regular scenarios”, such as being left with only 1 or 2 chess pieces and having to checkmate your opponent’s King.
