How to checkmate with the queen and knight

  If you haven’t read already, read how to checkmate with the rook & the knight. This is very similar, except a little easier, as you have the queen. Continuously work toward moving your opponent’s King toward a corner of the chessboard. The final move should be placing the King in checkmate with your queen, which will be protected by the knight, as shown in photo above.

Also, keep in mind you do not need the Knight for checkmate, as you can checkmate with the King & queen alone.   If you find yourself with a queen, knight, and king, use the knight to move your opponent’s King if necessary, but you can use just your queen and King and still achieve checkmate.
